There are a huge amount of muscle building programs out there. Gaining serious muscle will involve using methods that will get you there as quickly as possible.

The general rule in life is that the more of something that you do, the better you will get at it. Normally if you do more of something, the better it is. Therefore when you’re thinking about gaining extra muscle, quite the opposite is true.

The bodybuilder magazines are full of muscular men who say you’ve got to train about 6 times a week to get muscles like their’s. When you read about these bodybuilders you naturally think well it’s got to work for me it did for them.

The thing is this is not always the case. Bodybuilders are built differently from birth. They have superior genetics compared to the rest of us. So they can recover quicker than us after they have done their training. Don’t think that we can use their methods of training.

To start and gain the muscle that you want, you first have to accept that this is not right way to train for you. Most people that train with weights in order to put some muscles on their bodies train far too much. Don’t make this mistake, cut the training down now.

You will  be able to see some pretty impressive results in muscle gain, in around 8 weeks, if you follow 2 simple rules.

Rule 1. Train with weights that are heavy as you can handle. Don’t worry about how heavy the weight is. You know it’s working for you when you find it challenging. Train using multi joint exercises. These methods hit the most muscle with one exercise. For example, the squat.

Rule 2. Don’t train more than a couple of times a week. This is one of the hardest things to get into the heads of wannabe muscle men. Intense training does not only hit your muscles, but it also hits your entire nervous system. Yout nervous system may not have recovered, even if your muscles have.

If your nervous system is struggling to recover from a workout, and you give it another workout to deal with too soon, it won’t have the resources to recover. This means your body won’t be growing any muscle. After each workout give yourself 3 days rest. You can try two days. Just see how your body feels during this time.

Many people will attempt this for a short time and then go back to their old ways. The fact is that if you have been using particular bodybuilding programs which haven’t worked, then something is wrong. You are going to have to alter the way that you do your training.

There are many people that want to know if drinking alcohol negatively affects muscle gains. The answer is yes!

This will not be a lecture about the values of not drinking. I’m not anti alcohol at all. I drink myself a few times a month.

If you’re on a muscle building program, consuming too much alcohol will have a bad impact.

Here are 5 ways that alcohol abuse can slow your muscle gains…

#1 It Slows Protein Synthesis

Amino acids have to band together to form proteins. This is called protein synthesis. Drinking too much can slow this process down by 20%.

People who are learning how to build muscle mass at the gym approach me all the time with all kinds of questions. One of the things I am asked most is – does alcohol drinking have any affect on gaining muscle. Well if you had that question in mind than I’m sorry to disappoint you, but yes, consuming alcohol has a very direct, and negative effect on the results you will get with your burn fat gain muscle efforts.     The damages that alcohol causes the human body are far worse than most people tend to think. Because of that, you should get a clearer understanding of how it effects your muscle building efforts. Understand that alcohol is basically a drug. And while we are not trying to preach here, you, as a person who wants to develop your body and keep healthy, should be aware of the effects that alcohol has on your health in general, and on muscle building specifically.   1) Alcohol has a negative affect on protein synthesis.

Protein synthesis is the process that takes place in your body, in which amino acids are joined into whole proteins. Too much alcohol slows this process down by twenty percent or more. Since muscle gaining is depending on the use of proteins, you can see the negative effect here.

Testosterone levels in the body decrease as Alcohol evenly increases estrogen levels. If you have a low level of testosterone flowing through your body, than your ability to build muscle decreases, as this is a hormone essential to building muscle.   3) Alcohol promotes dehydration. Having alcohol in your body forces your body to dedicate a lot of effort in pushing it out. This pulls water resources from the body. As you may guess, this is very bad for the muscle building process that requires a lot of water. It can also be very dangerous. Alcohol is responsible for rapidly depleating mineral and vitamins from your body. Vitamins A, C, all the B’s, zinc, calcium and phosphorus are being drained at a rapid pace from your body, as soon as alcohol hits the system. Many vitamins are involved in the process of muscle building, so losing them definitely hurts the process.    5) Alcohols makes it harder to rid of fat. Alcohol is 7 calories per gram, and that’s a lot. Keeping fat stored in the body is bad for anyone who wants to build his muscle mass. Drinking alcohol is a habbit many people use for fun and relaxation. Having fun is good, but if you over do it with alcohol consumption that all your muscle building efforts will suffer. No need to panic - some alcohol drinking from rime to time is OK. Just keep it under control.  If you do find yourself drinking too much, at least make sure you drink a lot of water and take some vitamins, as well as a protein rich meal. Being aware of the risk and damages that are caused by drinking to your body are half the battle. The most important part of your routine is to eat properly!

You hear it time and time again. Its well known that its harder to iron out your diet right, than it is to turn upto the gym and go through your routine. Im fully aware of this, and I know what its like because ive been in your position before. It was after I changed that advice into an action plan, that I began to actually put on weight and size.

One of the most common diet myths thats around, is that you should only eat protien and little else, in order to get that size you want. Be wary of this advice!

Ideally and for the best outcomes, what you need to do is wait till the times of day when your body is set to injest and use the protien via your metabolism. Ideally, you want to ‘wake’ your body rapidly by taking on morning foods that stimulate the muscle and digestive system.

A great idea for breakfast, is to take in complex carbohydrates and fibre. Porridge, wholegrain toast and olive oil spreads are ideal. Fruits provide vitamens and fibre is essential for digestive health, and ensuring the stomach is ready for the protien blast you will unleash on it later in the day.

Try a shake in the morning but save the harder to digest protiens for the afternoon, such as meats or beef/steak.

By morning tea time, or 10am, you should be ready for another hit. Now is when a food like rice and brocolli or perhaps a tub of cottage cheese (250g) is ideal. If your having a desire for a sweet, a low sugar yoghurt is a good feed, with some berries and wholemeal bread.

There are so many different opinions surrounding bodybuilding that it can seem very controversial. This can leave many new trainees feeling very confused and wondering what to do. This vast array of advice and opinions can lead to giving up before you start or a long delay in starting because you just do not know what to do.

The best thing you can do achieve success in bodybuilding is to be consistent. Consistently continue to experiment and learn what works best for your body. That is one of the best things you can do is simply keep at it. If you are not making much progress try something different but do not switch things up to fast. Give each new thing you try a few weeks before you make your final judgement.

Another aspect of consistency is to keep going. Well, that seems rather simplistic but if you are making progress keep at it until such time that progress stops. Have you ever wanted to have that great looking body that you can be proud of? Do you wish to have great muscles or just a well defined body which is praised by everyone? Well, you have to remember that just lifting weights in the gym is not enough for you to gain muscles.

You have to remember that there is different exercise programs suited for different people. There are specific exercises for losing weight and burning fat, and there are also exercises designed for weight gain. You will even see exercises for strength training.

If you want to gain muscle mass, then you have to do body building exercises. In body building exercises, you will have a series of exercises in a day and a different one the next day. Usually, body building exercises will have 3 exercise days. On each day, different muscle groups will be targeted. However, the abs should be exercised everyday as this is considered to be one of the most important muscle groups that you need to exercise and it is also one of the hardest.

On day one, the chest and triceps are the muscle groups that you need to exercise. For the chest exercise, you will need to do at least four to five different chest exercises that will target different parts of the chest. The same goes for the triceps. Do 10 repetitions of each exercise with 3 sets.

On day two, exercise the back and the biceps. Four exercises for the back and four for the biceps. Also, do 10 repetitions for each of the exercises for 3 sets.

On day three, exercise the leg, thigh, and butt muscles and the shoulders. Four exercise for your shoulders and four for your legs. Also, for each exercise, do 10 repetitions with 3 sets.

On each day, you need to have four or five exercises for the abdominal muscles. Sit ups, and crunches are two of the exercises that you may want to 

You have to remember that the key in gaining muscle mass is getting adequate rest and eating foods that are high in protein. When you exercise, you have to remember that you are injuring your muscles in a controlled way. When you injure your muscles, it will repair those injuries by adding more muscle tissues. And, in order for the muscles to repair itself, you need to let it rest. Eating foodsthat are rich in protein, such as beef and soya milk protein will be able to make the muscle repair process faster and also make it stronger.

This is why body building exercises have intervals when it comes to exercising each muscle group. It allows each of the muscle group to have enough time to repair itself.

This is also very essential to keep in mind that you should exercise each and every muscle group said. Moreover, you can not expect to have a great looking ticeps, biceps or chest if the back can not support it well. You also need to exercise your back in order for you to develop the chest, biceps, and triceps. Also, you have to exercise the shoulders in order for you to develop your arms. Each and everything is attached.

These are the things that you have to remember about body building or muscle gain. Always remember that resting is very important. The muscle that you have exercised today allow them to rest for two days. You will be able build muscle soon if you are having enough protein rich food  and adequate sleep.

A lot of people don’t know for a fact that there is a right way to gain muscles and there are wrong ways to do it. Plus, lot’s of people do it in the wrong way and ends up getting frustrated as they do not get the results they expect.

Doing it the wrong way will not only mean slow results, but it will also mean injuries that may hinder you from exercising regularly and correctly.

Body building is also considered as science. There are correct procedures for it in order for you to get the results you want.

First of all, a lot of people think that in order to gain muscle, they need to exercise the same muscles everyday. This is in fact a mistake. It will do the exact opposite of what you want. Instead of gaining muscles, you will in fact lose muscles.

Lifting weights are not helpful in making your muscles bigger. It injures it. So, when you lift weights, you are deliberately injuring your muscles. So, which part of the exercises makes the muscles bigger? Well, you’ll be surprised to know that resting is what makes the muscles bigger.

For example, if you worked out your biceps, you are deliberately injuring it. When it is injured, the body will react by producing more muscle tissues in the injured part in this case, the biceps. The fastest way to repair muscle and gain muscle tissues is if you sleep. At this time muscle repair is the most efficient.

So, the key to muscle gain is to actually get enough rest after working out. It is not advisable to work out the same muscle group everyday as it will not efficiently gain muscle as it takes at least two days of good sleep to fully replace the injured muscles with much bigger and stronger muscle tissues. So, when you work out, try providing some intervals on what muscle group you have to work out on each day.

A good example would be working out the chest and triceps on day one, back and biceps on day two, and legs and shoulders on day three. The abdominal muscles should be worked out everyday.

Try to provide four to five exercises on each of the muscle groups with 3 sets with 10 repetitions each.

However, you might want to change the exercises for each muscle group every two weeks in order to avoid the plateau where the muscles will get so used to the exercises that it will not grow any larger.

One more prominent mistake that people do during body building is that they do the exercises very fast. They may think that this is a more efficient way to build muscles, but it’s actually not. To promote maximum muscle contractions you have to do the exercises in smooth, controlled and in slow motions.

These are just some of the correct ways to gain muscle. Always remember that muscle gain is not just about lifting weights but there is a system that you need to follow in order for you to gain muscles efficiently and get the results you want at the soonest time possible. In fact, it is very possible to gain muscles in just a matter of weeks. Do it right and you will see fast results.

Gaining muscle mass is considered as one of the dreams of every male all over the world? Why? It adds up to their masculinity and makes girls want them and gain more confidence. Sodium can enhance the absorption of amino acid and storage of carbohydrates in our bodies. Because of the effects it can do to the cellular fluid, you are to expect that sodium can add to gain weight which lessens muscles to strain and injure soft tissues.

3. Train.
If you really wish to have muscle gain, you have to work on some exercises which need resistance like dumbbells that are considered as free weights. They would train your muscles in the ancillary portion to build a mass that will be compounded on them.
